Awarded Project: CME awarded AFLW Broadcast Sports Lighting at Alberton Oval

The Port Adelaide Football Club selected CME as the specialist broadcast sports lighting partner for the Alberton Oval upgrade in preparation for the 2023 AFLW season.

Our depth of experience in full turnkey Design and Construct projects at Broadcast level Sports Lighting will set the Alberton Oval venue up to be the most advanced AFLW venue in Australia when it comes to LED Lighting and spectator experience through our dynamic lighting control system. We cannot say much more as we will keep you in suspense until opening night.

The PAFC AFLW Broadcast Lighting project will set the benchmark very high for AFLW venues around Australia. This is a testament to the collaboration between the Port Adelaide Football Club and CME project teams. CME has over 400+ sports lighting installations and strong portfolio of elite level broadcast sports lighting Design and Construct projects over the last 35+ years. We are solution focussed and high performance driven.

Our broadcast sports lighting package of works includes:
> Full Design & Construct (design, engineering & delivery).
> AFLW broadcast venue.
> Installation of 4 x 39.5m light towers, inclusive of engineering and piling .
> Installation of 249 x 1.5kW high performance LED light fittings
> Installation of a fully automated DMX controlled lighting control system creating an enhanced spectator experience.
> Aiming, angling & full night performance audit with report to AFLW standards (1000lux on the vertical to the main camera and 800lux to the secondary cameras)
> Removal and disposal of existing light towers and redundant luminaires.

Our electrical infrastructure upgrade package of works includes:
> New SAPN electrical transformer.
> New 2500amp electrical service upgrade.
> New Site Main Switchboard with backup generator ATS.
> Electrical integration into existing electrical Main Switchboard.
> Fibre network modifications.
